Show nONTVJELL By Bettie Mower Conference Held By Relief Society The Relief Society held their annual conference, on Sunday evening. Nov. 7th. Stake representative repre-sentative was Minnie Angus, of Ballard. The speakers were Donna Brown, Myra Mitchell, Ila Larsen and Bishop James E. Hamiblin. The mothers sang two songs, "I Know That My Redeemer Lives" and "The Lord Is My Shepherd." They were accompanied by Rosalie Brown. Visitors at Relief Society on Tuesday were Mildred DiMiman, Dora Freston and Eva Holmes of the stake board. Mr. and Mrs. Lee Angus, of Ballard, and Ira Pace, of Neola, Ne-ola, were Montwel visitors on Sunday. Ray Brown attended an R. E. A. meeting at Altamont Monday evening and a Cattleman's Cattle-man's Association meeting Wednesday Wed-nesday evening in Vernal. Babies blessed in Fast services ser-vices Sunday were the daughter daugh-ter of Mr. and Mrs. Carl An-derton, An-derton, who was given the name of Shanna Lee, and the little son of Mr. and Mrs. Duane Boren was given the name of Duane. Relatives of Mr. and Mrs. James E. Larsen who have been Visiting the past few weeks here, said good-bye and returned return-ed to their home in Idaho this week. James Parry, son of Mr. and Mrs. Melvtai Parry, spent the weekend here. He is attending school in Provo. Loene Powell has employment employ-ment at the Whiterocks ranger station for a while. Melvin Mower has been working the past week taking farm census in the Upalco area. The Sunday School held their faculty meeting Wednesday Wednes-day night. Mr. and Mrs. Melvin R. Mow- The Mutual dance practice started Saturday night with the Bee Hive girls and Scouts participating. par-ticipating. There will be practice prac-tice next Saturday night, Nov. 13, and after that the dance practice will be held on Friday nights. The genealogy ooinmiittee invites in-vites everyone to come to their meeting Friday evening, Nov. 12. They have a good program outlined with Mrs. Ray E. Dill-man Dill-man as the principal speaker, er and family were visitors in Ioka Sunday afternoon at the Bradley Cloward home. Mrs. Cloward's and Mrs. Mower's mother, Mrs. P. C. Litster, and their brother, Harold and his famlily from Salt Lake City, were also there visiting. Mrs. Litster and Harold (Ham as he is known) were former residents resi-dents of Ft. Duchesne and will be remembered by their many friends in the Basin. |
