Show School News LONG HORN ROUND-UP The annual Slumlber Party for Pep Club members was held Thursday night. Special guests were Mrs. Harmon, Mrs. Neilsen and Mrs. Bearden. Miss Irene Muiir is Pep Club adviser. The girls brought their bed rolls and everyone slept in the gym. Pot-luck dinner was served and a lovely program enjoyed by all. Mrs. Harmon gave a very inspiring talk to the girls. Lights were out at 12 o'clock, but sleep didn't come until much later. Everyone Every-one was up at 6 the next morning morn-ing and a delicious waffle breakfast was served in the home economics department. HARVEST BALL The Harvest Ball will be held Friday evening in the Altamont Al-tamont gymnasium. A Harvest Queen will be chosen from 3 lovely candidates, Marjorie Mitchell, Etholene Burton and Colleen Roberts. The theme is "Shine On Harvest Moon," and aprons and overalls will be present. The Ag Club is sponsoring spon-soring the dance. Their officers are: president, Bob Allred; vice-president, Lyle Oman; secretary, sec-retary, Larry Hartman; treasurer, trea-surer, Jack Brotherson; reporter, report-er, Duane Evans; and sentinel, Ronald Powell. Elwood Foote is Ag instructor. Everyone is invited and there will 'be some very special attractions. The music will be by Peel's Peelers. One turkey will be given as a door prize and two others will be auctioned. |
