Show Special Awards Listed At Roosevelt Lleet Special awards made at the Roosevelt 4-H Achievement program pro-gram during October have been listed by Duchesne County Extension Ex-tension workers, Mary Lois Reichert and Robert S. Mur-dock. Mur-dock. Keith Lemon was in Charge of the Roosevelt program. pro-gram. The two five-year leadership pin awards were presented to Nadene Ottosen and DeLight Andrews of Roosevelt. Both are clothing club leaders. Gale Larsen, of Arcadia was awarded the Achievement Medal Med-al for all-over 4-H achievement during the year. He is a member mem-ber of the Lucky Tramps club of Arcadia. Grace and Arch Larsen are. leaders. Canning medals were received re-ceived by Marcia Lemon and Ila Vaye Lemon of Ioka. Edith Gentry is leader of their foods phase IV club, "Wishbone Snappers." Clothing medals were awarded award-ed to' Maurine Yack and Ida Andrews. Leaders of their clothing phase IV club are Thora Yack and Delight Andrews An-drews of Roosevelt. Dairy achievement awards went to Tom Milburn. Ioka, a member of Keith Lemon's "County Club;" Newell Richens of My ton, member of the My-ton My-ton Livestook dub, led by Jack Nielson and Afton Rich-ens; Rich-ens; Dennis Jones, Tabdona, with Kenneth Carlile as leader; lead-er; and to Floyd Nielsen, of Bridgeland, with Reed Clay-burn Clay-burn as leader. Style dress revue medal winners were Ida Andrews and Maurine Yack. Field crop medals were presented pre-sented to Michael Yergensen and Danny Uresk of Myto'n; Afton Richens and Jack Nielson, Niel-son, club leaders. Food preparation medals were received by Elaine Richens Rich-ens of the Ioka "Wishbone Snappers" club. Frozen foods medals were presented to Louise Gentry and Marcia Lemon, also of the Ioka . "Wishbone Snappers." Neil Anderton, of the Ioka "Country Club," won the garden gar-den medal. The award for girls' record book was given to Ila Vaye Lemon of the "Wishbone Snappers." Snap-pers." Medals for health were won by LaRae Woodard and Carol Ann Nielsen from the "Snappy Snippers" clothing phase in Club of Myton, with Virginia ; Nielsen, club leader. Their demonstration on posture won a blue ribbon at the State Fair this year. Two medals for leadership were presented to the Ioka "Country Club" leaders, Keith Lemon and John Percival. Hugh, Evans, of Arcadia, was awarded the medal for meat animals. |
