Show (lusher Farmer Seeks Uintah Commission Post Harry Dean, Western Uintr-'i County farmer. World War II veteran and active church worker, work-er, has filed his candidacy for the 2-year commission put in Uintah County on the Republican Republi-can ticket. This is the first venture into politics for Mr. Dean, who lives at Gusher. A native of Ballard, where he was born, he has' lived in Western Uintah County all his life, except for four years spent in defense of his country during' the last war In 1943 he was seriously wounded while in combat. He is a graduate of Alterra High School, but attended high school two years at Vernal and one year at Roosevelt before going to Alterra for his final year. An active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Mr. Dean has served as president of thi YMMIA for three years and is presently serving as a Sunday Sun-day School teacher. "Roads in the county are out greatest problem," Mr. Dean says, who announced he knows every road inthe area. |
