Show Venial Third, Naples Win Honors in TJirJlen Tourney i Roosevelt Second, Neola Rate In Sportsmanship Two champions were crowned and two teams presented with sportsmanship trophies at the conclusion con-clusion of the third annual Division Divis-ion 14-B M Men basketball tournament tour-nament that came to a very successful suc-cessful conclusion last Thursday night. Uintah stake monopolized honors and it will again be Vernal Ver-nal Third ward to represent Sub-Division Sub-Division B of Division 14 in the annual AH - Church tournament that will begin next week at the BYU field house in Provo. Naples ward in the Uintah stake, won the title in the Junior division Play-off and will enter another play-off with teams in Division w for a place in the first All-wurch All-wurch for Junior M Men. (Continued from Page 1) Thompson left the camp to hike to DucheSne. They were unable to follow Hayes path because of darkness. They arrived in Duchesne near midnight Thursday. Temperatures Temper-atures were then about 17 degrees below zero. After learning that Hayes had not arrived home, Herber Mecham and Thompson returned to the camp by horseback Friday morning morn-ing and began following Hayes' trail out. They found his frozen body in a sitting position about a quarter-mile north of U.S. Highway High-way 40. Sheriff Stevenson said the victim had apparently sat down to rest. His -'trail was dotted with futile attempts to start fires. |
