Show Duchesne Water Users Set Feb. 18 Meeting A re-organization meeting was called by the group of water users attending the Duchesne County Water Users Association meeting on Friday, February 4. The next j meeting will be held in the Court jroom of the Duchesne County Courthouse on February 18 at 1 oclock p.m. Any group or individuals may join this association. The Duchesne County water users have the authority, and they are the only organization with authority, to act on water matters pertaining to the Utah Water and Power board. The annual dues for individuals shall be the sum of one (1) dollar, payable on or before the 30th day of January in each year, except the first payment, which shall be payable as and when he becomes a member. The annual dues of associate members shall be five (5) dollars, payable in the same manner man-ner as the dues of individual members. mem-bers. Dues shall be paid to the secretary of the association. The objects of this association shall be to protect the residents of Duchesne County, Utah, and of the State of Utah in their right to the use of water within the county and the state for all author-rized author-rized purposes; to conserve, protect, pro-tect, develop, and promote by all legitimate means, and to foster the development and beneficial use of the water resources of the county and state; to provide a representative representa-tive organization to be contacted by and to cooperate with any Governmental, State, or other agency, in furthering the purposes above set forth; and to be a- subsidiary sub-sidiary organization to the Utah Water Users Association of the State of Utah. Robert Murdock will accept the dues either before or at the time of the meeting. Everyone is urged to attend this meeting, as water is extremely important to us here in Duchesne County, and it looks like water for Utah and the promotion pro-motion for such is dependant on the people and the interest we' show on this project. |
