' , t ' j I ' ; RE-ELECTED TUESDAY was Ray Brown, Montwel rancher, as president of the board of directors di-rectors of the Moon Lake Electric Elec-tric Assn., which held its annual an-nual meeting on Monday. He served during the past year in the same capacity. Ray Brown Re-elected President As New Directors Seated At Meeting Members of the Moon Lake Electric Association heard various reports from officials; elected new directors and were treated to a free picture show and served lunch at the Altamont High School cafeteria at noon. This was all a part of the annual meeting held at Altamont High School on Monday, Mon-day, Feb. 7. Ray Brown, president of the association, as-sociation, conducted the meeting and, in the course of the meeting stated that the cooperative had shown steady growth, both in number of firms and commercial accounts served and in the kilo-wat kilo-wat hours generated and sold. Mr. Brown pointed out . that Moon Lake Electric had invested approximately approx-imately $3,827,000 in facilities of all kinds, including generation. He further stated that the organization organiza-tion anticipated investing an additional ad-ditional $2,250,000 in the next two or three years. Mr. Brown advised those attending at-tending the annual meeting that the Moon Lake Electrical Association Asso-ciation was now installing radio equipment to enable the organization organiza-tion to give its consumers more dependable and economical service. ser-vice. He reported Moon Lake Electric Elec-tric had generated approximately 20,000,000 kilowat hours in 1954. Secretary's Report Rue Miles, secretary-treasurer, had statements of assets and liabilities li-abilities passed out to all of the members attending the meeting. He also read a cash operating statement and explained that while the organization had been able to reduce its power costs, by building build-ing and placing a new diesel plant in service, in Rangely, Colo., the over-all expense in 1954 had increased in-creased somewhat over 1953. Manager Ron E. Harrison, a native na-tive Iowan, who assumed management manage-ment of Moon Lake Electric in July, 1954, reviewed the start of the organization in and around the present Altamont site, to the present system which extends from Currant Creek Lodge, west of Duchesne, to a point east of Rangely, Colo, a distance of some 120 miles. Mr. Harrison reminded those present that the organization organiza-tion had grown beyond the original orig-inal intent to service only a few small communities, to an organization organ-ization of approximately $4,000-,000, $4,000-,000, serving the Uintah Basin and the Rangely, Colo. area. Elect Directors The election of directors of the association was the highlight of the meeting. Present directors, who were re-elected, included: Mr. Brown, Roosevelt; Clyde Lambert, Altonah; Fred Neumeyer, White-rocks; White-rocks; William Fieldsted, Boneta; and Mr. Miles, Mt. Home. New directors di-rectors elected were: Claude Wag-staff, Wag-staff, Tabiona, and I. W. Cramer, of Rangely, Colo. At the organizational board meeting held Tuesday, Feb. 8, 1955, Ray Brown was again elected elect-ed president; William Fieldsted, vice-president, and Rue Miles, as secretary-treasurer. |
