Show Funeral Held For Clarence O. Bird At Bluebell Chapel Clarence Oran Bird died Tuesday, Tues-day, Oct. 9, at 3 p. m. in the Roosevelt hospital of a heart ailment, following an illness of 15 months. Funeral services were conducted Saturday at 1 p. m., with Bishop Gardner Goodrich conducting. A son of Alonzo' William and Martha A. Cook, Bird, he was born in Benjamin, Sevier county. coun-ty. He spent the early part of his life in Utah and Idaho, be fore moving to Bluebell in 1910, where he had since resided. He married Lydia Lisonbee in 1914 in Vernal. He is survived by his widow, 11 sons and 2 daughters: Charles H. Bird, Myton; Deloss Bird, Altonah; Al-tonah; John, Irvin and Clinton Bird, Salt Lake City; Oran, Leo, Melvin, Marian, Jakie, Stella and Dollie Sorenson, of Bluebell; Blue-bell; and Alva Bird, Fort Knox, Kentucky; five : brothers and three sisters, James I; Charles Isaac,- LeRoy and Lyndon Bird; Mrs. Violet Briston, Bluebell; Mrs: Edith Gale, Tod Park; and Martha Smith, Price. Openinp prayer for the ser vices was offered by John Thor-senn. Thor-senn. Musical numbers were furnished by Gardner Goodrich, Martha Thorsen, Thelma Cook, and Wm. O. Larsen, singing "Sweet Hour of Prayer,", and "Truth Reflects Upon Our Senses;" Porter Merrell and Fern Mitchell singing, "That Silver Haired Daddy of Mine," and " I need Thee Every .Hour;" Duet, Mr. and Mrs. Angus Bird. Speakers were Lewis Bird, Leslie B. Goodrich, Dr. R. V. Larsen and Harry Smith. Benediction was offered by Wm. O. Larsen. Buriel was in the Bluebell cemetery. Alva Bird and his wife drove from Fort Knox, Ky.. after receiving re-ceiving word of the death of Alva's father. They arrived in Bluebell about an hour after the funeral services and buriel. Friends and relatives of Clarence Clar-ence Bird who came to attend the services were Mrs. Pearl Palmer, Mr. and Mrs. Angus Bird and Mr. and Mrs. John O. Newman, all of Rigby, Idaho; Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Bird, Idaho Falls, Idaho; Mrs. Florence Williams, Wil-liams, of Logan; Martha Smith, Mr. and Mrs. Harry Smith, of Price; Mr. and Mrs. Jenson, of Elmo; Mr. and Mrs. Franklyn Smith, Salt Lake City; Eldon Brady, Bridgeland; Frank Merrell, Mer-rell, Mr. and Mrs. Elwin Merrell, Mrs. Rose Eaten, Mr. and Mrs. Albert Mott, Mrs. Helen Richardson, Rich-ardson, Vernal; Merrell Lisonbee, Lison-bee, Pleasant Valley; Mr. and Mrs. Shelby Lisonbee.
