Show I Adult Homemaking Classes To Begin Oct. 24th Wednesday, October 24, is the starting date for the first adult homemaking class of this yea-, according to Mrs. Daren Young, who will be the instructor. Following a dressmaking class last spring, there have been requests re-quests for a more advanced' class, and as a result a tailoring course is being offered to women wom-en of the Roosevelt area. Interested In-terested women may enroll by contacting Mrs. Young in per- son. or by telephone (213-J), or by attending the first class. Only the first twenty women registered regis-tered will be able to enroll. Plans call for completion of the course by December 5. Each class member will construct con-struct a tailored article, which may be either nor or made-over. For those interested in making over coats for children, making over men's suits for themselves, etc, there will be special instruc- j tion. Those working with new fabrics will find helps with complete interfacing, lining, and inter-lining coats and suits, and other tailoring problems. j If a few less advanced pupils do not care to go into more in- j tricate tailoring, they might I make woolen dresses. I These classes are being of-1 fered through cooperation of the ! P.T.A., Duchesne School District, and the State Department of Public Instruction. No charge is made for the course, although class members must furnish their materials and pay a small fee for the use of the building and equipment. Classes will be held in the homemaking rooms of the Roosevelt Roos-evelt Junior high school.
