Show WHITEROCKS Madeena Smith Sunday Program Given By Mission The program at meeting, Sunday, Sun-day, was given by the Indian missionaries. Two Indian boys, Larry Murray and Clark Oarem sang solos. Jessie Brough and Clyde Merkley were the speakers. speak-ers. TWO TEAMS STARTED A meeting was held at the gym on Saturday to organize basketball teams among the Indian In-dian boys. Two teams were organized. or-ganized. Mr. and Mrs. Jessie Brough enjoyed Thanksgiving in their old home in Randlett, with their children and families. Petro Forakis and family, of Lapoint, spent Sunday evening visiting at the home of Bill Hoops. Stanley Hoops and family, Mr. and Mrs. Bill Hoops and I Mr. and Mrs. J. O. Hoops went I through the Temple at Salt Lake City on Tuesday of last week. I Virgil Robb and family took a truck load of lumber to Salt Lake, Monday, and visited with their daughter, Kay, and family and returned on Thursday. Mr. and Mrs. Golden Merkley j and daughter, Nyla. of Salt' Lake City, visited at the Elbert! Smith home on Tuesday. Virgil Robb has moved his I sawmill down off the mountain I to his home for the winter. I The ward Mutual went to Neola on a skating party, Wednesday. Wed-nesday. A very good time was had and a large crowd attended. Mr. and Mrs. Duane Ober-hansley Ober-hansley made a business trip to Nevada last week. Paul and Gary Christensen went to Tooele for Thanksgiving. Thanksgiv-ing. They went with Mr. Yannie who works at Garfield. . Arthur Allen went to St. George to visit his wife, who has been in St. George for medical med-ical care for some time. The Indian Mission Relief So-, ciety served a Thanksgiving dinner to about twenty people on Wednesday. J Leonard Root died of a self-inflicted self-inflicted gun shot on Friday. He had been ill for some time. Mr. and Mrs. Marinus Christensen Chris-tensen made a business trip to Vernal, Friday. |
