Mr and Mrs. Jim Thacker and iamily were home with their folks last week. Mrs. Less Orr returned home last Sunday after undergoing major surgery in Price three weeks ago. She is convalescing satisfactorily. Mr. and Mrs. Waldo Hansen had family guests for Thanksgiving Thanks-giving dinner. They were Mr and Mrs. Verl Iorg and family Mr. and Mrs. Frank Griffin and son, Mr. and Mrs. Claude Iorg and son, Mr. and Mrs. Erwin Rust and son, and Mr. Howard Montes and family. Mrs. Jewell Kolb accompanied Mrs. Louis Reese to Salt Lake and back last Monday. Mr. and Mrs. Johnny Lambert had Mr. and Mrs. M. J. Benson of Ioka as guests for Thanksgiving Thanks-giving dinner. Mrs. Gordon Case had her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Alma Carlile and her sister all of Woodland for the week end. Mr. and Mrs. Earl Case joined the group for Thursday dinner. Mr. LeRoy was operated on last Nov. 23, in the Roosevelt Hospital with Dr. Smith of Duchesne performing the operation. oper-ation. He came home last Saturday Sat-urday and is feeling as well as can be expected. Mr. and Mrs. Glen Ames had dinner guests on Thanksgiving day, Mr. and Mrs. Bill Whitehead White-head of Bluebell and Mr. and Mrs. Mellwood Wall. Mr. and Mrs. Leland Stevenson Steven-son had Mrs. LeRoy Thacker as a dinner guest on Thanksgiving. Thanks-giving. Lemon and family, all of Ioka, Mr. and Mrs. Paul Lemon and family of Vernal, Mr. and Mrs. George Davis and family of Salt Lake were Thanksgiving visitors with Mr. and Mrs. Max Hart-man, Hart-man, with Mr. and Mrs. George Davis and family remaining for the rest of the week end. Mr. and Mrs. Lyrad McConkie had a family dinner on Thanksgiving Thanks-giving Day with the following guests, Mr. and Mrs. George Funk and family of Myton, Mr and Mrs. Garn Bodily of Salt Lake, Mr. and Mrs. Jr. Jenkins of Ballard and Mrs Pearl Jenkins Jenk-ins who left last Tuesday to visit another daughter, after being with Mr. and Mrs. McConkie Mc-Conkie for two weeks Mr. and Mrs. Edgar Miles and Mrs. Lynn Nebeker were dinner guests on Thanksgiving Day at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Fay Miles. Mr. and Mrs. Volney Boswell entertained Mr. and Mrs. Art Snow and children at Thanksgiving Thanks-giving dinner. Mr. and Mrs. Tew were the speakers at Sacrament meeting last Sunday and Mrs. White sang a solo. Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Ky-naston Ky-naston and family, of Heber, visited Sunday with Mr and Mrs. F. Earl Case. Mr. and Mrs. Kelly Sprouse and daughters, of Roosevelt, were Sunday dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Case. Mrs. Edgar Holder accompanied accompan-ied Mr. and Mrs. Harry Fieldsted Field-sted to Salt Lake, where they and Mr. and Mrs. Garth Sargent met for Thanksgiving Day at Dee Holder's home. Mr. and Mrs. Ken LaRose were hosts to a family dinner on Thanksgiving Day. The guests were Mr. and Mrs. Richard Rich-ard Taylor and family, of White-rocks; White-rocks; Mr. and Mrs. Fred La-Rose La-Rose and family, of Neola; Mr. and Mrs. Norman LaRose and Mr. and Mrs. Carnea LaRose. of Altonah and their families; Mrs. Christine Christensen, of White-rocks, White-rocks, and Einer Christensen, of Rangely, Colo. Mr. and Mrs. Lee Bryner, of Salt Lake City, came ou.t Sunday Sun-day to get Mrs. Bryner's sister, Mrs. Evan Hansen, who returned with them to seek medical attention at-tention in Salt Lake City. Mr. and Mrs. DesMoines Anderson An-derson went to Salt Lake for the holiday weekend. A. W. Sadler spent Thanksgiving Thanksgiv-ing Day with Mr. and Mrs. Grant Hansen and family. Mrs. A. Palmer and children, of Salt Lake were here for the weekend as houseguests of Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Dastrup. On their way out here, they were in an automobile accident in Fruitland. The driver of the car, Mr. Tatton Bench, and his wife were both hurt and hospitalized. hos-pitalized. Mrs. Bench's injuries were not serious. Mr. Bench" is still in the hospital in Heber. Mr. and Mrs. Dastrup went to Heber and on to Provo to see Mr. Bench and to return their son, Curtis, to school after his holiday at home. Mr. and Mrs. Elwood Foote went to Salt Lake to spend the holiday weekend with their folks. Larry Hartman suffered two broken ribs and bruises when he was kicked by a horse the day before Thanksgiving. Dr. Philo T. Farnsworth went to Salt Lake to be with his family fam-ily for Thanksgiving. Mr. and Mrs. Farrell Mohl-man Mohl-man and family were here for the weekend and called on several sev-eral of their friends. GUESTS AT "500" PARTY Mr. and Mrs. Linden Hansen entertained at a "500" party and a turkey luncheon last Friday Fri-day evening. Their guests were Mr. and Mrs. Evan Hansen, Mr. and Mrs. Ned Mitchell, Mr. and Mrs. Lynn Hansen, Mr. and Mrs. Grant Hansen, Mr. and Mrs. Leon Dump, Mr. and Mrs. Her-shel Her-shel Iorg, and Mr. and Mrs. Dewey Jessen. Mrs. Ed Miles held a quilting at her home last Monday. Mrs. Bob Miles and Miss Gloria Womack, of Roosevelt, assisted her. Fay Reay and Mary spent Thanksgiving Day with Mr. and Mrs. Bill Reay, of Whiterocks. Mrs. Reay has been in Salt Lake with her mother, Mrs. Mary Marshall, who has been ill. Mrs. Reay is expected back on Friday, Fri-day, when her son, Dee, will bring her home. Mr. and Mrs. Evan Bennion entertained at a family dinner on Thanksgiving Day. Their guests were Mr. and Mrs. Roy Rust, Mr. and Mrs. Anthon Rust, George Chapman, home for the holiday from Weber College, and Gwendolyn Chapman. Mr. and Mrs. Glen Mohlman and children, accompanied by Mr. Mohlman's mother, spent Thanksgiving Day with Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Hansen, of Roosevelt. Roose-velt. Tina and Gregory Timothy had a combined birthday party-last party-last Tuesday, with some of their friends and relatives present. Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Young and children visited in Bridge-land Bridge-land with Mr. and Mrs. Alma Smith. Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Evans and Mr. and Mrs. Volney Boswell attended the high priests' party held recently in Boneta ward. Miss Peggy Case was home for the weekend and she and the other members of her family, fam-ily, Gayle and Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Case, had Thanksgiving dinner with Mrs. Maryann Case and Mrs. Mary Snyder. Lorraine Dastrup and Veretta Gomm were home with their folks from the USAC for the weekend, making the trip with Parker Gomm. |
