Show Myton Youth Gains Grid Honor A nice honor was extended recently to' James Schuckers, son of Mr. and Mrs. A. L. Schuckers, when he was selected select-ed as Class B All-State for 1953 as they honored Prep Football Stars. Jim, a student at Wasatch Was-atch Academy, played guard. A letter written by Reed Mad-sen, Mad-sen, chief Deseret News Bureau of Richfield, to Coach Sours at Wasatch Academy, reads as follows: fol-lows: "To Jim Schuckers especially, espe-cially, my heartiest congratula tions to perhaps the finest lineman line-man ever to come out of Region 4. Although this was not stated in ther 1953 Deseret News All-Star All-Star selections, you were unanimously un-animously voted the top lineman line-man of the year, and without question rightly deserved your place on the state team. Best wishes to you in the future. You should go a long way and we'll be keeping our eye on you." Jim was listed in the All-Reg-' ion Four, first team and it was from this region he was selected select-ed to the Class B All-State. Congratulations, Con-gratulations, Jim, we are prouc 'to have one of "our boys" reach this status in athletics. |
