Show Provo to Celebrate Fourth of July with Freedom Festival Utah's greatest Independence Day celebration will be held at-Provo at-Provo this year with four big days of events climaxed by a mammoth parade and night Panorama Pan-orama show at BYU Stadium on Monday, July 4. Called the Freedom Festival, the gigantic celebration is sponsored spon-sored by the LDS Stakes of Provo Pro-vo for the ninth straight year. It is anticipated 60,000 Central Utahns will witness the mammoth mam-moth parade of 100 floats and bands July 4 at 9:30 a.m. The route extends from 12th North, south on University Avenue to Center, then east to the State Hospital. "Panorama Visits Disneyland" will theme the Panorama show at BYU Stadium at 8:45 pjn. A fireworks display wil climax the show. Other major celebration events ev-ents include: Carnival and midway, mid-way, now operating at Pioneer Park; children's miniature parade, par-ade, Friday, July 1, 6 p.m., route First East on Center, west to Fourth West, children's sports, Saturday, July 2, 2 p.m., Pioneer Pion-eer Park; Relief Society Bazaar, July 1, 2, and 4, Pioneer Park; public dance, Saturday, July 2, 9 p.m., East Provo Stake House; patriotic service with Marion D. Hanks as speaker, Sunday, July 3, 8 p.m. BYU Fieldhouse. |
