Show Fund Raising for Crusade for Freedom Slated The Crusade for Freedom fund raising campaign will' be conducted con-ducted for the Pleasant Grove area on Monday and Tuesday, Feb. 16 and 17 by the American Legion Auxiliary Unit 70. According to Mrs. Karl Banks Unit 70 president, the need for funds for the Radio Free Europe Eur-ope program is still urgent. "As long as there are freedom-loving people behind the Iron Curtain the need for the broadcast of truth about America continues," Mrs. Banks said. We cannot retain re-tain our own freedom and help others to regain theirs by setting idly by, she emphasized. During the two days of the local oampaign, booths will be established at the Utah Power and Light Co. office and contributions contri-butions will be received by ladies of the auxiliary.- Also special films will be shown at the Grove Theatre and contributions received receiv-ed there. No house to house campaign cam-paign will be conducted. "We who enjoy so much can surely make a small contribution contribu-tion to those who have so little," Mrs. Banks concluded. |
