Show Mountain Fue! District Mar, Speaks to Lions Leonal King, District Manager of the Mountain Fuel Supply Co., was guest speaker at the Pleasant Pleas-ant Grove Lion's Club meeting, February 1. Mr. King told of the phenomenal phenomen-al growth of the Mountain States a great giant of energy now rivaling electricity in industrial and home uses. The Mountain Fuel Supply Co. now has 97 miles of gathering pipe lines, 470 miles of transmission trans-mission lines, 2,388 miles of distribution dis-tribution lines and 767 miles of customer service lines. New gas wells are being developed de-veloped all the time to supply the ever-growing demand for gas service. Many of these wells are in Utah fields. The present supply sup-ply of gas available by the Co. is 305,000,000 cubic feet of gas per day. Colored slides were shown to graphically depict the pumping stations, general usees and distribution dis-tribution of gas to the point of use. Especially was it shown how pressure in the distribution lines ' of several hundrd pounds was reduced to four ounces at is reaches the utilities in our homes. At present the Mountain Fuel Supply Co. serves 1-11,753 customers cus-tomers in Utah, 1 reaching 71 communities as well as customers in rural and suburban areas. The company guarantees to the customer cus-tomer 20 years of continuous service. |
