Show Funeral Rites Held At Preston For Maurine Simmons Funeral services were conducted Monday at Preston, Idaho, for Mi's. Maurine Gamett Simmons, who died on October 8, at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. C. A. Gamett in Pleasant Grove. Mrs. Simmons was born July 1, 1996, to Clarence A. and Manetta Armitstead Gamett. She attended the schools here, and grew to young womanhood, and graduated from high school. She was very popular in church and music circles. cir-cles. She filled a mission for the LDS Church in California, and since her marriage hes been active in Primary, Pri-mary, Relief Society and Sunday School. At the time of her death she was chorister in Junior Sunday School and member of the Franklin Frank-lin Stake Sunday School Board. She married Horland Simmons in the Salt Lake Temple on Aug. 22, 1930, and since that time made her home in Burley and in Preston, Pres-ton, Idaho, where her husband is Superintendent, of City Schools. Survivors are her husband, five sons and daughters, Mrs. Dean (Kathleen) Plowma:.;,- Smithfield ; William Don Simmons, Logan; Julia Ann, Neil John, and Thomas Wayne, all of Preston; 1 grandchild, grand-child, one sister Mrs. Ralph (Helen) Smith of Magna; four brothers, Mark and Wayne Gamett, Gam-ett, both of Las Vegas, Nevada; LaVell Gamett, Provo and Don Gamett, Orem, and her parents Mr. and Mrs. C. A. Gamett, Pleasant Pleas-ant Grove, Utah. |
