Show Lincoln Barely Edges Pleasant Grove 7-0 In a hard fought game Thursday Thurs-day afternoon an underdog Pleasant Pleas-ant Grove eleven held the touted Tigers to a single touchdown. The first half ended in a scoreless score-less it with Lincoln at the Vikings goal line. Harding and Marshall I looked good for the Tigers and Walker and Carson played a good first half. Lincoln threatened again at the start of the third quarter but fumbled and P. G. recovered. Pin-ally, Pin-ally, Dick Cox, on an end run, made the score for the Tigers, and Evan Harding went through center for the extra point. In the final quarter, the Vikings made one final desparate try for a score. Walker passed to Carson and it bounced intc Clark's arms and he romped to the 15 yard stripe. First down and Robison went around end to the seven; but with the clock running out the Vikings desperation passes fell incomplete. |
