Show Parents Told Of Health Problem Dr. Joseph P. Kessi.-r of the Utah State board of health told the large group of parents who attended at-tended last Thursday evening's meeting of the High School PTA some very important and timely facts concerning rheumatic fever. "Parents should be able to recognize rec-ognize the symptoms of this dread disease," Dr. Kessli'i- stated, "in order that they might put the patient pa-tient in care of a doctor immediately." immed-iately." Recurrence and heart damage can be prevented if proper prop-er measures are taken soon enough. Dr. George Spendlove, Commissioner Commis-sioner of the State Health Department Depart-ment urged parents to support the drive for funds to fight, treat and continue research on cerebral-palsy by buying Easier seals. Nurse Mabel Jones announced the immunization clinic in the high school, beginning Wednesday, March 11. The next meeting of the high school PTA will be held Thursday, Thurs-day, April 2. Mrs. Donna Ash will be the featured speaker. Election of new officers will also be held at this meeting. |
