Show Strawberry Days To Be Held June 4, 5, 6th; Parades-Rodeos Features be under the direct leadership of John S. Green and his Activities Association. It is planned to have another organization have the work of selecting sel-ecting the Rodeo Queen, and the Flower Show will be under the leadership of the Pleasant Grove Garden Club. The American Legion and Auxiliary Aux-iliary has been in charge of the Strawberry exhibit and sales, and no doubt will be assigned to this work for the coming year. The Junior chamber of commerce, com-merce, Lions club, and the ladies organizations will also play a major maj-or part in making Utah's first annual an-nual celebration a great success. With the purchase of the old rodeo grounds by the pity of Pleas- i ant Grove, the activities that are carried on there under the Pleas ant Grove Activities Committee are community affairs, and these events should be backed one hundred hun-dred per cent by the people of the community. According to a decision made by the chamber of commerce and the Activities Committee, all proceeds pro-ceeds for this year's celebration will be used for the improvement of facilities at the city recreation area. Many improvements are being planned for the recreational area and this year's celebration should receive 100 per cent cooperation from all organizations and indiv-diuals indiv-diuals of the community, as when the improvements are finally made Pleasant Grove will have one of the finest recreational areas in the state of Utah. "Cooperative action of the var-. var-. ious organizations of Pleasant Grove will make this year's Strawberry Straw-berry Days celebration one of the outstanding annual events ever held in this city" says Cliff Hales, newly elected president of the chamber of commerce, founders ot one of Utah's oldest celebrations. This year's Strawberry Days will be held on June 4, 5 and 6th, and will be highlighted with outstanding out-standing parades and three nights of rodeo. A contract is being signed sign-ed with Doc. J. C. Sorenson of Camas, Idaho, to furnish the livestock live-stock and specialty acts for the season's first major rodeo in Utah. It is the plan of the chamber of commerce and the recently appointed ap-pointed Pleasant Grove Activities Association to divide the various phases of the big celebration among am-ong as many organizations as possible, pos-sible, in order that avmore efficiently effic-iently operatad organization can be perfected.
