Show Four injured in accident Four people, including a pedestrian, were injured Monday morning when two cars collided at 100 East Center Street in Pleasant Grove. Officer Jim Taufer said that Howard Dietlef received minor injuries and was treated at the scene when he was bumped by one of the two cars involved in the mishap as he stood on the corner. The vehicles were driven by Kathy Bennett, Pleasant Grove, who was northbound on 100 East, and Patricia Sullivan, Calif., who was westbound on Center Street. Kathy and her passenger, Ralph Meldrum, Alberta, Canada, were taken to American Fork Hospital by Pleasant Grove Ambulance where they were treated and released. Damage to the Sullivan vehicle was listed at $5,000 and and there was $500 damage to the Bennett auto. A fire hydrant was sheared off in the accident. Damage to the breakaway ring on the fire hydrant was set at $50. One man escaped injury Sunday afternoon when his vehicle rolled over in Dry Canyon in Lindon. Max Peterson, Orem, was not injured as his four-wheel drive vehicle rolled over backwards as he approached the top of a steep dirt hill. His vehicle was a total loss. Officer Of-ficer Cody Cullimore investigated the accident. Autos .driven by Richard K. Harris, Murray, and Melinda Merrill, Pleasant Grove, collided at 100 E. Center on Friday. No one was injured. Damage to the Harris car was set at $500. |
