The National Guard posted the colors and soloist Craig Evans sang the National Anthem. All exhibits were open to the public and judging of entries began. Thursday was Senior Citizen's Day at the fair. All seniors in the county were invited to a luncheon at the Spanish Fork Senior Citizen's Center. Awards were presented, and then seniors visited the fair! Special entertainment was provided for them. Entertainment at the fair included in-cluded "Sage," Marvin Payne, Double Trouble, Miss Provo Tambi Sorenson, Jim and Dave, and others. Country and pop music star Sylvia performed in the rodeo arena for an enthusiastic crowd Thursday night. She sang the title song from her newest album, "Knockin' Around" and other hits including "Snapshot," "Cry Just a Little Bit" "Fallin' In Love." Friday was Kids' Day at the fair. The Kids' and Dogs' Show was judged based on originality, humor, and colorful costumes. The event continued in a parade through the fairgrounds and other kids events. Friday and Saturday nights SlashC Rodeo Company and its all proven bucking stock provided the rodeo. Events included ladies barrel race, bareback riding, saddle bronc riding, calf roping, steer wrestling, bull riding, and team roping. The 1985 rodeo royalty were in attendance. at-tendance.
