Bill Hoglund, Pleasant Grove Parks and Recreation Superintendent, Superin-tendent, apparently escaped without serious injury early Thursday morning when his car struck a horse on Geneva Road at Center Street in Lindon. According to Officer Jeff Wilson, Mr. Hoglund was coming home from work at Geneva Steel when the dark brown mare ran into the road. He swerved to miss the animal but was unable to avoid hitting it. The horse smashed the windshield and was part way inside the car, the officer reported. Bill was able to carefully ease himself out of the vehicle and flagged down a passing motorist who took him to the Orem Community Hospital for treatment of back and neck injuries. He was treated and released. The officer explained that within minutes of his arrival the horse had thrashed and kicked until it had worked its way completely inside the car.
