Show Louis Ewell Jennie P. Jepson obituaries ) Berneice C. Gidddings Louis Boyd Ewell, 28, died Tuesday, June 25, 1985, in Orem, Utah of a brain tumor. He was born to Leland and Iva Dene Thomas Ewell in Lehi, Utah on Dec. 4, 1956. He attended and graduated from Lehi High School and LDS Seminary. He worked for Lehi Block. He loved rodeos and was a friend to everybody. Survivors include his parents, Lehi; two brothers and three sisters, Morris Ewell, Magna; Judy Ewell, Dennis Ewell, Brenda Ewell and Carol Ewell, all of Lehi; two nieces and a nephew; grandmother, grand-mother, Irene Ewell, Spanish, Fork. He was preceded in death by a brother, Tony. Funeral services will be held Saturday, 29, at 11 a.m. at Lehi Third Ward Chapel 1900 N. 500 West. Jane (Jennie) Prestwich Keetch Jepson, 92, of Lindon, died June 21, 1985 at the home of a daughter. She was born Oct. 12, 1892 in Provo, a daughter of Cyrus William and Lucy Amanda Morley Prestwich. She married Stanley B. Keetch Nov. 12, 1913 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He died Nov. 21, 1962. She married Jesse Jepson Feb. 2, 1966. He died March 16, 1979. She was an active member of the LDS Church, serving on the Old Folks Committee, as a Relief Society Visiting Teacher and teaching in all auxiliaries of the church. Survivors include four sons and two daughters: Wesley Keetch, Farmington, N.M., Duane Keetch, Salt Lake City; Morley Keetch, an LDS missionary in England; Mrs. Glen (Lula) Brimhall, Payson; and Mrs. Wendyl (Myrl) Jarvis and Eldon Keetch, both of Lindon; 26 grandchildren; 53 great grandchildren; two brothers and two sisters: Horace Prestwich, Provo; Armeldo Prestwich and Mrs. Oliver (Ora) Guymon, both of Orem; and Amanda Bigelow, Santaquin. A son, Wendell, preceeded her in death. Services will be Wednesday, June 26, at 11 a.m. in the Lindon Sixth Ward Chapel, Main at Center Street. Friends may call Wednesday at the church one hour prior to services. Burial will be in the Pleasant Grove City Cemetery. I I J. Woodruff Angus Berneice Crandall Giddings, 91, died June 22, 1985 at a Salt Lake City hospital. She was born July 23, 1893, in San Bernardino, California to Lucian Delancy and Olive Chipman Crandall. Since she was seven years old she has been a resident of American Fork. She married Luther Giddings Aug. 4, 1913. For 42 years he was a highly respected and influential teacher of science, agriculture and forensics at American Fork High School. He died June 18, 1965. They were the parents of six children: Mrs. Henry (Ruth) Peterson, Midway; Dr. C. Bland Giddings, Mesa, Ariz.; Mrs. Woodruff (Irene) extensively in temple work. She was an accomplished ac-complished musician, singing vocal solos on numerous occasions and participating in choral groups. Besides her sons and daughters, she is survived by 19 grandchildren, grand-children, 46 great grandchildren and a brother, Lucian D. Crandall, American Fork. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, June 26, at 2 p.m. in the Anderson and Sons Mortuary Chapel, 49 E. 100 North, American Fork. Woodruff Angus, 69, died Monday, June 24, in the American Fork Hospital of heart failure. He was born Sept. 10, 1915 in Lakeshore, Utah, to George Q. Cannon and Marintha Rigley Angus. He married Veleda Vera Jensen April 12, 1940, in Preston, Idaho. He was a construction worker, enjoyed gardening, gar-dening, camping and the outdoors. He will bve dearly missed by his surviving family: his wife, Lehi; two sons and two daughters, Jay Angus, Albuquerque, N.M.; Donald Angus, Lehi; Mrs. Dwayne (Kathryn) Colledge, Lehi; Mrs. Martin (Barbara) Morse, West Valley; 14 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren; one brother, John Agnus Poway, Calif. Funeral services will be held Friday, June 28 1 p.m. in the Wing Mortuary Chapel, 118 E. Main, Lehi, where friends may call Thursday evening 7:30 to 9 p.m. and Friday prior to the service. Burial will be in the Lehi City Cemetery. Thomson, Provo; Dr. Luther E. Giddings and Dr. Calvin Giddings, Gid-dings, Salt Lake City, and Lee Giddings, who died in 1913. An active member of the LDS Church, she served as chorister, Sunday School teacher and president of the YWMIA. She engaged Frank James Richins, 89, Pleasant Grove, died Sunday, June 23, 1985 at a local nursing home. He wa's born Jan. 14, 1896 in Pleasant Grove to John Alma and Mary Jane Ellis Richins. He married Nancy Vivian Chapman on Aug. 2, 1916 in Provo. She died Nov. 16. He was a retired farmer, having lived his entire life in the Pleasant Grove area. He had also worked for the railroad and copper industries. He was a member of the early Strawberry Days Committee. He was a member of the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Harold (Zola) Stewart, Salt Lake City; two grandchildren grand-children and several great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter and 13 brothers and sisters. Graveside services were Tuesday at 11 a.m. at the Pleasant Grove City Cemetery under the direction of Olpin Family Mortuary of Pleasant Grove. Alta May B. Ash Daphne C. Westover Alta May Bateman Ash, 86, of Lehi, died June 21, 1985 in an American Fork care center of causes incident in-cident to age. She was born June 4, 1899 in Lehi to Theodore Allen and Christina Johnson Bateman. She married Cecil L. Ash Aug. 24, 1921 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He died July 22, 1975. She served in several auxiliaries of the LDS Church, especially as a teacher of youth and the young women. She was also a temple ordinance worker and an extensive ex-tensive genealogist. She is survived by two sons and one daughter: C. Grant Ash, Provo; Donald B. Ash, Pleasant Grove; Mrs. Russell (Yvonne) Webb, Alpine; 15 grandchildren; 31 great grandchildren; and three sisters: Sylvia Walker, Brigham City; Mrs. Vern (Lexia) Whipple and Lucille Webb, both of Lehi. Services were held Tuesday in the Wing Mortuary Chapel. Burial was in the Lehi City Cemetery. C. Elaine G. Kelley Daphne Cook Fowles Westover, 77, of Pleasant Grove, died Friday, June 21, 1985 at the Utah Valley Regional Medical Center. She was born Aug. 12, 1907 in Sunnyside to John Alder and Grace Huntsman Cook. She married Udell Fowles in Dec. 1927 in Price. He died Feb. 6, 1930. She married Eldon C. Westover June 8, 1932 in Farmington. He died March 21, 1985. She was a member of the LDS Church and lived in the Grove Ward. She had served as a Relief Society teacher, choir director and ward and stake musical director. She attended schools in Ferron and Brigham Young University. Survivors include three sons, Dr. Jack L. Westover, Aurora, Colo; Udell Westover, Orem; Keith Westover, Provo; 10 grandchildren; grand-children; ' 13 great grandchildren; two sisters and a brother: Marjorie Beers, Carlyle, 111.; Belva Stevens, Lewiston; and Harold Cook, Salt Lake City. Services were held Monday, June 24, at the Olpin Family Mortuary, Pleasant Grove. Burial was in the Pleasant Grove City Cemetery. Services were under the direction of Bishop Ellis V. Allred of the Grove Ward. Pallbearers were Scott Westover, Eric Westover, Lewis Westover, Carl Jacobson, Bruce Jacobson and Bernie Mietchen. The family prayer was given by Udell Westover and the Dedication of the grave was by Harold Cook. C. Elaine Gurr Kelley, 38, died at her home in West Valley, Friday, June 21, 1985 of cancer. She was born April 5, 1947 in Provo to DeLoy and Thelma Gurr. She married Jim Kelley. She attended school in Provo and Pleasant Grove. She graduated from Pleasant Grove High and attended BYU, working in the computer department. Survivors include her husband; one daughter, Christine, of West Valley; her parents, Deloy and Thelma Gurr, Pleasant Grove; and one sister, Leah Kocherhans, Clinton. Services were held Monday, June 25, at the West Valley 9th Ward. Burial was in the Pleasant Grove City Cemetery. |
