M and Mary are the parents of children, Robert and Merril, of American Fork; Kenneth, SL and Janet Manning, Burley, So They have 19 grandchildren Une They led busy active lives while raising their family and were in-volved in church, school and civic affairs in American Fork. In I960 Mary became a dental assistant, where she worked and took classes to get her certification in that field. Each of their children served foreign missions for the LDS Church and two of the boys served in the military occupation forces in Germany. Fred and Mary found themselves sending birthday and Christmas packages overseas for nine years straight. Among the highlights of their life was a month-lon- g tour of Europe, where they visited both East and West Berlin and other parts of Germany, Austria, Italy and Switzerland. Fred retired from Geneva Steel in 1972 and Mary retired in 1974. Their lives have been busy with hobbies, travel, grandchildren and they have served as Provo Temple workers. Mary worked in the Spanish Extraction Program for three years. At present, Fred plays golf each morning and Mary swims. They do some temDle work and have Mary and Fred Warnick recently volunteered for service in the Senior Citizens. I ' 1 f J ; ' Y Alison Russell Lindsey Fox Riley Duvall Children graduate from Joy School Summer is just around the corner and with it comes the end of another year of Joy School. Three out of the five students will be graduating and moving on to kindergarten at Grovecrest Elementary. They have been taught by their mothers and have learned one of the greatest things a child can - joy We hope that these joys will be carried with them throughout their , life. J Lindsey Fox is the daughter of Tom and Jane Fox of Pleasant Grove. She is almost five years old and will attend Grovecrest Elementary this fall. She has attended Joy School for two years and has enjoyed having her own joy school to go to. Lindsey is a very lively, happly little girl and has especially enjoyed learning about service, goal setting, and thats its okay to have feelings. Alison, age 5, has attended Joy School for the past three years. She is excited to be in kindergarten next year at Grovecrest Elementary. Alison is the daughter of Fred and Shauna Russell of Pleasant Grove. She is a very active and loves to dance and sing. Her favorite part of Joy School was learning about rules, the beautiful earth, and how to be a secret elf helper at Christmas time. Riley is the five year old son of Wesley and Janet Duvall. He is a bright, energetic, happy boy. He loves to play ball and ride his bike. He has a great way of making people laugh and really enjoys doing so. He's had fun learning so many things in Joy School the past two years and has taught his family alot about being more joyful. He is looking forward to attending kindergarten at Grovecrest. Firemen, auxiliary attend ctate convention in Price Several members of the Pleasant Grove Fire Department and Ladies Auxiliary attended the State Firemen's Convention held last-see-in Price. Velma Robbins was elected as a trustee and Glade Hilton received his 25 year pin. Those attending from the Pleasant Grove department were Mr. and Mrs. Fred Keetch, Mr. and Mrs. William Robbins, Mr. and Mrs. Sterling Boren, Mr. and Mrs. Don Fenton, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Mills, Mr. and Mrs. George Hallam, Mr. and Mrs. Winston Scoville, Mr. and Mrs. Glade Hilton, Mr. and Mrs. Ford West, Mr. and Mrs. Dennis Carter, Mr. and Mrs. Guy Fugal, Mr and Mrs. Lyman Smith, Mr. and Mrs. Boyd Swenson, and Mr. and Mrs. Brent Smith.
