Weston Thatcher of Sandy will marry Scott Wayne Kohler, son of Mr. and Mrs. Bud W. Kohler of Pleasant Grove, on Thursday June 27 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. A reception will be held in honor of the couple that evening from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Sandy 23rd Ward, 630 E. 10375 South, Sandy. The event is open to all friends and relatives. Bridal attendants will be Ruth Ellen Tyson, Becky Thatcher, Rachel Smartt, and Tracy Kohler. The best men will be Jeffery Faux and David Swenson with Chub Gillman, Wayne Whiteley and Kelly Memmott as attendants. The bride-elec- t, is a graduate of Lehi High School where she was a varsity cheerleader. She also graduated from LDS Seminary. After high school she studied electrolage and now has her degree as a licensed electrologist. She will be employed in Provo in that field. The future bride groom graduated from Pleasant Grove High School where he was active in sports. He also graduated from LDS Seminary. He served an LDS mission in Seattle Washington. Scott is presently employed as a brick mason. He plans to resume his schooling this fall. The couple will make their first home in Pleasant Grove. Pleasant Grove married Kevin B. Rosenlund, son of Mr. and Mrs. Bert Rosenlund of Santaquin on Friday, June 21 at the home of the bride's parents. A family dinner honored the couple that evening. Maid of honor was Nanette Pulham. Best man was Lorin Jarvis. The bride graduated from Pleasant Grove High School and LDS Seminary. She was active in the Acappella and Chamber Choirs. She also attended Utah Technical College. The groom graduated from Payson High School were he was active in football and track. He is employed in Payson. Bridal showers were given by Ramona and Ann Rosenlund, Teresa Mills and Bessie Webb. They are living in Springville. Miss Hendrickson is the daughter of James and Cheryl Chipman of Pleasant Grove and Steve and Nancy Hendrickson of Sandy. The groom is the son of Pete and Dee Campbell of Pleasant Grove. The bride is the ddaughter of Mrs. Patsy L. Hill, Hobbs, N.M., and Darrell D. Hooley, American Fork. She is the granddaughter of Mrs. Ivy Lee of American Fork. The bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Paul Bowyer of Hobbs, N.M. Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a white delustered taffeta gown with a chapel length train. Multilayers of lace formed an off the shoulder neckline and was also at the hemline of the gown. The short, puffed sleeves were trimmed with matching lace. She wore a tulle and lace English-styl- e riding hat with veiling that ex-tended the full length of the dress. Attending as matron of honor was Marlene Phillips. Serving as best man was Gary Hartman. Ushers and were Glade Hooley, brother of the bride, and Thomas Moody. A reception was held at the home of the bride's mother in Hobbs. The three-tiere- d heartrshaped cake was designed and decorated by the bride's mother. After a trip to Carlsbad, N.M., the couple are at home in Hobbs, N.M. Mr. and Mrs. Stuart Smith (Shauna Hooley) Cadmus Club installs new president, officers Twenty three Cadmus Club members met Wednesday, June 19, at the home of Catherine Rees for their Annual Installation Breakfast. A delicious meal was served at a long table on the patio over looking Catherine's beautiful garden. President Avera Williams took charge. Phyllis Thomson offered the prayer. The club thought for the month was very fitting for the close of this successful year, "Life is like a journey taken on a train with fellow-travele- at each window pane. Assignments for the coming year were given to the club members. Assisting Catherine with this festive affair were Maxine Smith, Vera Matthews and Carol Jaynes. The Cadmus Club will meet again in September. Garden Club lists winners Lucille Jense, Mary Varney, Geneil Wilberg, Kalyn Secretan, Maxine Smith and Herman Parduhn. Ar-tistic arrangement . blue ribbon winners were Paul Smith, Julie Conder, Kalyn Secretan and Sharon Weeks. Junior high and elementary winners were Kathy Leinweber and Amy Leinweber. Flower show committee was Maya Told, chairman; Margaret Haliday and Velma Gillman, table settings, Faye Belliston; publicity, Shirley Millgate; Schedules, Mary Varney; and hostess Donna Brock. The Pleasant Grove Garden Club presented the flower show for Strawberry Days last Thursday. They wish to thank the many people who entered flowers and who helped with the show. Paul Smith won "Best of the Show" with his beautiful arrangement of pink roses entitled "Welcome to my World." Rosette winners were Jess Walker, horticulture; John Told for the center theme display and Paul Smith for Tri color all fresh flower arrangement.
