Show Vietnam veterans asked to participate in July 4 parade Vietnam veterans from across the State of Utah are being invited to participate in America's largest freedom celebration. Provo's annual an-nual 4th of July Freedomk Festival Parade for 1985 will be highlighting America's involvement in the Republic of South Vietnam. All Vietnam veterans, able or disabled, are encouraged to participate in- the parade. The particulars on how veterans might participate will be given them by contacting the individuals listed below. Some military vehicles will also be included in the parade. With recent national attention being focused on America's involvement in southeast Asia (1962-1975), the Freedom Festival Parade Committee Com-mittee feels that it is timely and fitting that Utah's Vietnam veterans be properly recognized and honored. VIP seating will be offered to the families of all participating Vietnam Viet-nam veterans on a first-come, first-serve first-serve basis. If you are a Vietnam veteran living anywhere within the state of Utah and would enjoy a memorable reunion with your fellow veterans, please contact either David Gardner, Gard-ner, Orem 226-1232; or Jim Holmess, Provo 377-8347. |
