A trading post will stock candy, pop and other goodies for any of the hungry Mountain Men. Every unit must fill a local tour permit with the council office prior to leaving for the rendezvous. Every Varsity Team is responsible respon-sible to bring their own water and firewood. Each team should provide their own tents and other camping equipment. To reach the site take 1-15 to Santaquin, take the Santaquin exit. Turn right (west) through San- taquin, travel west eight miles to Goshen, turn left on Center Street (go south), travel five miles to Goshen Meadows. Each day will be filled with Mountain Man activities including trading sessions. There will be Black Powder Shoots, tomahawk throw, knife throw, archery, canoeing, primitive fire building. The Colter Relay will include all of the above. Other fun games and activities scheduled are Hunkerhauser (rope pull) log sawing, stake pounding, wrestling (circle), arm wrestling, Indian leg wrestling, pull sticks, Indian seat lodge, hurdles, compass cash, bow drill fire building, flint and steel fire building, foot races and arrowhead chipping. Each person who attends the Rendezvous will receive a specially made participation pin. Many other nrizes will be given for winners in |
