The production will feature scenes from "Swan Lake," "Coppelia," "Don Quixote," and "Ballet Fantastique," which have been choreographed for this presentation by Jacqueline P. Colledge, Lehi, who is artistic director for Utah Youth Ballet, the resident dance company of Utah Pageant of the Arts. Performances will be held at American Fork High School, 510 North 600 East, with curtain time at 8:00 p.m. both evenings. Tickets are only $3 pur person and are available at Sabine's Dancewear and Accessories, at both the American Fork store, 19 East Main, and the newly opened Provo location at 25 North University Avenue, according to producing director David O. Brockbank. Members of the Utah Youth Ballet company are also selling tickets to the event to raise individual shares of funds needed to take 11 company members and three adult leaders to Tacoma, Washington for the first week in May, where they will audition for membership in the prestigious Pacific Regional Ballet Association. Utah Pageant of the Arts will use proceeds from the concert to provide transportation and registration fees for the Tacoma audition, Brockbank said. |
