Show Art Guild sponsors symposium The Pageant of the Arts Guild is sponsoring a spring symposium today at 7:30 p.m. in the Studio Theater at the Pageant Center, 454 N. Center, American Fork. The symposium event will feature Willam F. Christensen, founder of Utah's Ballet West, guest of honor and speaker. Jacqueline P. Colledge, artistic director, Utah Youth Ballet, will also be a guest speaker and will share plans for "Great Moments of Ballet" spring concert to be held April 27 and 28. Mr. Christensen, who in addition to Ballet West founded the San Francisco and Portland Ballet companies, will discuss these accomplishments ac-complishments and others of his own experiences. Mrs. Colledge will tell of plans for the company's soloists and principal prin-cipal dancers who will audition in May in Tacoma, Wash., for acceptance ac-ceptance to The Pacific Regional Ballet Association. Such honor will entitle the Youth Company to national recognition. As a colorful finale, dancers will perform in its entirety, the beautiful "Vivace" by Dvorak. All members and friends of the Guild are invited to attend. |
