A trading post will stock candy, pop and other goodies for any of the hungry Mountain Men. Every unit must fill a local tour permit with the council office prior to leaving for the rendezvous. Every Varsity Team is respon-sible to bring their own water and firewood. Each team should provide their own tents and other camping equipment. To reach the site take to Santaquin, take the Santaquin exit. Turn right (west) through San- - taquin, travel west eight miles to Goshen, turn left on Center Street (go south), travel five miles to Goshen Meadows. Each day will be filled with Mountain Man activities including trading sessions. There will be Black Powder Shoots, tomahawk throw, knife throw, archery, canoeing, primitive Colter Relay will fire building. The include all of the above. Other fun games and activities scheduled are Hunkerhauser (rope pull) log sawing, stake pounding, wrestling (circle), arm wrestling, Indian leg wrestling, pull sticks, Indian seat lodge, hurdles, compass cash, bow drill fire building, flint and steel fire building, foot races and arrowhead chipping. Each person who attends the Rendezvous will receive a specially made participation pin. Many other nrizes will be given for winners in Mary Lou L. George (obituaries) Sylvester Evans I April 17, 1984 in the Wing Mortuary, Lehi with Bishop Don Yates officiating. The family prayer was offered by Neldon S. Evans and the invocation by Robert N. Evans. Remarks and speakers were Bishop Don Yates, B. J. Lott, and Pres. Alvin G. Schow. Sidney Creer gave the biographical sketch. Music was provided by a ladies quartet including Kim Ander-son. Sue McAvoy, Lois the LDS Church. She was a Blazer and Sunday School teacher, Cub Scout den mother and held many other positions. Survivors include her husband of Kemmerer, Wyo.; two sons, Todd Moody and Kyal Moody, both of Kem-merer, Wyo.; her father of American Fork; one brother, Eugene D. Lund of Fillmore. Services were Monday in the American Fork Seventh LDS Ward Church. Burial was in the' American Fork Cemetery. Mary Lou Lund Moody George, 41, died Wednesday, April 11, 1984, in Salt Lake City. She was born July 13, 1942 in Van Nuys, Calif., to Elwood E. and Alice Robinson Lund. She married Alfred Moody, June 12, 1964 and they were later divorced. She married Kevin Kenneth George, May 22, 1980 in Kemmerer, Wyo. She was a registered nurse, specializing in corony care. She set up and started the first coronary care unit in the American Fork Hospital. She later MARY LOU GEORGE became a supervisor at the Utah State Training School's hospital. She taught nursing at Utah Technical College for a time. She was a member of Sylvester Evans, 94, of Lehi, died April 13, 1984 in the American Fork hospital of causes incident to age. He was born June 6, 1889 in Lehi to William Samuel and Martha Geneva Clark Evans. He married Edith Smith, Sept. 1, 1909 in the Salt Lake L.D.S. Temple. She, died March 12, 1970. He was a custodian and a blacksmith. A member of the L.D.S. Church, he was active in many Church and civic affairs, including various church posi-tions, serving on the Lehi City council, as a city judge, on the Rodeo committee, as a Lehi Stake High Council-man, and two short-ter- L.D.S. missions. He is survived by sons and daughters: Neldon Dick Evans and Mrs. Karma Joseph Barrett SYLVESTER EVANS Whimpey, both Lehi; Keith C. Evans, Sandy, Ut.; Ross Sterling Evans, El Paso, Texas; and Mrs. Emory (Verland) Smith, Salt Lake City, 23 grandchildren; 77 great - grandchildren and 5 great - great grandchildren. He was the last surviving of 12 brothers and sisters in his family. Funeral services were held Tuesday, Niel, and Vicky Pope who sang "To Dad With Love." Also Joan Welch played an organ medley and also the prelude and postlude music. The benediction was spoken by Clark B. Evans and the dedication at the graveside by Scott A. Whimpey. Burial was in the Lehi City Cemetery. Joseph Velo Barrett, 82, of Pleasant Grove, died Sunday, April 15, 1984, at the American Fork Hospital. He was born Dec. 9, 1901, in Orem, to Thomas and Edith Hartley Barrett. He married Zella Childs, Dec. 14, 1921, in Price. The marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-da- y Saints. He was a member of the LDS Church, holding the office of High Priest. He had served as president of the Young Men's MIA and as supervisor of the Elder's Quorum. He was a mechanic by trade and later owned and operated a dairy farm in Talmage. He and his wife moved to Pleasant Grove in 1963 where they attended the Pleasant Grove First Ward. Survivors include his wife; three sons: Eugene S. Barrett of Orem; J.R Barrett of West Valley City; Dr. K.C. Barrett of San Francisco, Calif.; 11 grandchildren; 27 great - grandchildren; three sisters and one brother: Mrs. Ellis (Darlene) Richens of Ogden; Mrs. Reva Childs of Vernal; Mrs. Frank (Joyce-Essi- e) Campbell of Alexan-dria, La.; Stanley Barrett of Salina. Services will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at the Olpin Family Mortuary, 500 S. 300 E., Pleasant Grove, where friends may call Tuesday, 6-- 8 p.m., or Wednesday, one hour prior to services. Burial will be in the Orem City Cemetery. Cora W. Atwood Anthony S. Goates Anthony Scott Goates, age 21, died April 14, 1984 in an automobile accident. He was born June 14, 1962 in Yuma, Arizona, a son of John Ralph and Angela Mary Clutter Goates. He attended Lehi schools, served in the U.S. Army where he was an honor graduate in A.I.T., and received several marksmanship awards as an expert. A member of the L.D.S. Church, he was employed in con-struction in steel fabrication. He is survived by his parents of Lehi; brothers and sister: Robert L. Goates, John Dennis Goates, both Salt Lake City; Mrs. (Scott) Lorrine Hobson, San . ,'JFrancisco, Cali fornia; grandmother: Eva Clutter, Las Lunas, N.M. Funeral services will be Wednesday, April 18, at 11 a.m. in the Wing Mortuary chapel, 118 E. Main, Lehi, where friends may call Tuesday evening, from 7-- 9 p.m. and Wed. prior to services. Burial will be in the Lehi City Cemetery. . j- Cora Warnick At-wood, 98, of Pleasant Grove, died Friday, April 13, 1984 at American Fork ; Hospital. ; She was born Sept. 14, 1885, in Pleasant Grove, to Charles Peter and Christine Marie Larsen Warnick. She married Lawrence Miner At-wood, Sept. 11, 1907, in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He died Jan. 5, 1956. She was a member of the LDS Church, residing in the Manila First Ward. She had served in all church auxiliaries "and as stake Relief Society president. She was a member of the Daughters of Utah Pioneers. She had held several civic positions. She attended Pleasant Grove schools and BYU. Survivors include two daughters and one son: Mrs. Malin R. (Marval) Smith and Grant Lawrence Atwood, both of Pleasant Grove; Mrs. Ross C. (Erma) Burgess of Alpine; 20 grandchildren; 60 great grandchildren; two great great grand-children; two brothers: Merrill N. Warnick of Pleasant Grove and Reed W. Warnick, Orem. Two sons and a daughter preceded her in death: Dean W. Atwood, Dan M. Atwood and Lyle Beth Merrill. Services were Monday at the Manila First Ward Church. Burial was in the Pleasant Grove . City Cemetery. Services were under the direction of Bishop John Linebaugh of the Manila First Ward. Pallbearers were grandsons Gordon M. Smith, Robert Atwood, Steven Smith, Larry Merrill, Lane Merrill, Mark Burgess, Roy Dean Atwood, and Craig Burgess. Honorary pallbearers were Harold R. Davis and Stanley Merrill. The family prayer was given by Grant Atwood. The prelude and postlude music was played by Nelda Warnick. The in-vocation was by Reed W. Warnick. The life sketch was given by Marval A. Smith. A piano solo, "Oh My Father", was played by Steven Smith. Poems written for grandmother were read by Sharon Hughes. The speaker was Patriarch Merrill M. Warnick and remarks were given by Bishop Linebaugh. Tim Ekins sang "Oh May My Walk Be Close With God" ac-companied by Christine Warnick. The benediction was by Larry Merrill.
