MICHAEL MONSON (Beth Ann Carver) Open House Will Honor Recently Wed Young Couple Mr. and Mrs. Charles E. Carver Jr. of Amhurst Mass. are pleased to announce the marriage of their daughter Beth Ann to Michael Monson son of Mr. and Mrs. Elwood Monson of Pleasant Grove. The marriage took place in the Provo Temple on Friday October :i after which the couple left for Mass. where the parents of the bride are hosting a reception in their honor. The bride attended schools and college in Mass. and is currently attending BYU. The groom is a graduate of Pleasant Grove High School and 4 year Seminary program. He fulfilled a mission in Southern Calif, and is currently employed in American Fork. An open house reception will be given by the parents of the groom on Friday Oct. 10 from 7:30 till 10 p.m. in the Lions Sportsman Center at 6th East and Center St. All friends and relatives are invited to attend. KATHLEEN ANN PORCARO AND THOMAS ADAMSON Kathleen Porcaro, Thomas Adamson to Wed October 16 Kathleen Ann Porcaro will become the bride of Thomas Clark Adamson October 16, 1975 in the Salt Lake L.D.S, Temple. Parents of the bride are Mr. and Mrs. Robert R. Porcaro of Orem and parents of the groom are Mr. and Mrs. Thomas S. Adamson of Pleasant Grove. A luncheon will be given by the groom's parents following the temple ceremony. A reception will be held the following evening October 17, 1975 from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. in the Orem 42nd Ward chapel hosted by the bride's parents. All friends and relatives are invited to attend. The bride will be attended by Marilyn Haslem, Jeanne Adamson, Deena Porcaro, Suzanne Porcaro and Denise Porcaro. Miss Porcaro graduated from Springville High School where she was active in His and i. cappella chior. She was also a graduate of L.D.S. seminary where she served on the seminary council. After high school she attended B.Y.U. for two years where she majored in Elementary Education. The prospective groom graduated from Pleasant Grove High School where he was active in sports. He fulfilled an L.D.S. mission to the Guatemala mission. Following his mission he at-tended B.Y.U. for a year and is presently enrolled at U.T.C. and is majoring in Electrical Engineering. The couple will make their home in American Fork following their wedding while the groom is attending U.T.C. and the bride is employed in Orem. Barratl, American Fork an-nounce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter Mindy to Robert Brooks son of Mr. and Mrs. Bob Brooks, American Fork. The couple plan to make their home in American Fork. NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING The Pleasant Grove Planning Commission will meet on Thursday. October 16, 1975 at 7:30 p.m. to review the following requests for special use permits: 7:30 The request of Melvin Radmall to be able to continue his ornamental iron shop at the present location of 405 North 600 East for one more year. Mr. Radmall has previously received a special use permit for this business but the time expired in September and he is therefore requesting a one-yea- r extension.. ... 7:45 The request of Mr. William Budgen to establish a small printing business in back of his home at 170 East 100 South to do trade and speciality printing on a small scale. 8:00 The request of Rick Gurney to be able to establish a car paint shop in the garage in back of his home located at 1015 North 100 West. Mr. Gurney desires to do some body, fender and paint work at this location and would be doing work on not more than 3 or 4 cars a month. 8:15 p.m. The request of Ray Dean Gurr for a special use permit to be able to do light wood cutting in his garage at 360 East 100 South. This work w ould be on a limited basis and the work would be done using electric saws. All interested citizens are invited to attend this meeting and express their feelings on these requests for special use permits. Meeting Timpanogos Stake Relief Society Leadership meeting will be held Thursday, October 16 at 10:00 a.m. at the Stake Center. Effie Adams, Spiritual Living leader will present the opening program. The dance begins at 9 p.m. and their is a special price rate if you come before 9:30. The dress is nice casual. Saturday's contemporary dance will begin with a Hawaiian Potluck Luau this week.
