Show HELD THREE IMPORTANT SESSIONS AND THEN ENJOYED AN AUTO RIDE IN THE CANYON. Episcopal Ministers and Prominent Lay Members of the Church at a Convocation In This City. i The convocation of Episcopal ministers min-isters which is now In session in this c'ty held three important sessions Thursday besides Indulging in a very enjoyable sight seeing trip about Og-aen Og-aen and vicinity. At the morning, session the subject discussed was "Christian Education" and a number of Interesting talks were i listened to, Including those of Rev. W. j J. Bulkley of Salt Lake, Rev. A. Georgo of Park City, and Rev. W. W. Fleetwood Fleet-wood of Ogdon. The afternoon was given over to a session of tho Woman's Auxiliary, tho officers and a delegation being present pres-ent from Salt Iake. The meeting was largely attended and a number-of excellent addresses were delivered, including in-cluding those by Bishop Spaulding and Rev. W, J. Hersey. At 5 o'clock the delegates were taken tak-en on an enjoyable trip about town as the guests of J. S. Lewis. All the more Important points of interest were visited, the trip including run up Ogden canyon. The visitors were pro-fure pro-fure In their appreciation of the excursion ex-cursion and said many complimentary complimen-tary things of tho beauties of Ogden'a famous gorge. Among those present at the convocation convo-cation and participating in the events were the following lay delegates: W. B. Schoeflel.l of Provo, Judge Morris L. Riebey, Prof. George M. Marshall. Mar-shall. V. Houghton and W. Woodman of Salt Lak .and Mr. Ellis of Layton. The services Thursday evening were taken up with a variety of subjects, sub-jects, including "Preaching." by Re. M. W. Rice of Salt Lake, "The Church and Social Service." by Rev. D, K. Johnston of Logan, and "Public Schools," by Rev. A. George of Park City. |
