Show TWO STATE BANKS OF . KANSAS TAKEN OVER TOPEKA, Kan., May 18. The state banking department today took over control of the Hanover State bank at Hanover, Washington county, and tho Aulne State bank of Aulno. Marlon county, two banks whose failures were reported yesterday. As to rumors on the New York and Chicago stock markets today relative to "bank failures in Kansas," State Bank Commission Wilson said: "They certainly havo gone wild to mako out that the failure of two small banks in Kansas should affect tho country's market centers.
