Tomlinson, 16 boys of Troop 1, Farr West, took a hike into tho cliffs of Ben Lomond Saturday and were initiated ini-tiated by the forces of nature into tho hardiness that becomes a scout Setting Set-ting off shortly after six in the morning morn-ing and ascending the mountain side they were met by a perfect torrent of rain which considerably damped their clothes, but not their spirits. Amid the driving wind and rain one of the boys prepared the camp fire for lunch with the aid of one match. The days Joy finished at Utah Hot Springs, where the boys still had pep enough left to engage in running and swimming races. Assistant Scoutmaster Douglas Brian, and A. D. Brown, of the M. I.
