Show TRIES TO ESCAPE WITH FAMILY, BUT DEPUTIES ON JOB Following an alleged attempt to escape from a sentence of sixty daj's' work on county roads, Asa Garner, recently convicted of stealing wool at Marriott, was captured cap-tured late last night by Deputy Sheriffs Joseph Chadwick and Hay West. He was sentenced sen-tenced to servo sixty days in jail, but was later given work on the county road in order that he might provide for his wife and children. In the taxicab with Garner a large trunk was found, leading the officers to 'believe, that Garner meant to remain away some time, should his escape prove successful. |
