Beus, chairman of tho sugar beet committee of the Weber County Farm Bureau, today Issued a .statement in Avhlch he declares the organized farmers have not accepted the contract tendered by the Amalgamated Amal-gamated Sugar company. Tlie'statement : "Notification to all beet growers in Weber county Is hereby given thati agreements on price of beets and con-j tract for 1920 have been made with Utah-Idaho and other sugar companies of the state. However, up to the present pres-ent date, the Amalgamated Sugar company com-pany has been unwilling to accept the schedule of prices and approve tho contract as decided upon by other sugar su-gar companies of this state and tho Utah State Farm Bureau. Therefore a satisfactory settlement has not been reached with the local company as has been reported. Consequently all growers grow-ers should defer signing contracts with company's agents.
