Show Cliffi AGREE WITH FARMERS 0P4 PEA GUIS I ' C "As the conclusions of negotiations 't extending over a two-month period be-K be-K tween the Utah Canners' association and the- Utas Slate Cannings Crops committee, announcements havo been made regarding pea contracts for the season. The Utah state canning crops committee com-mittee sought three grades of early and lale pease, a dlffcrnco of $5 existing exist-ing between the early and late variety in all three grades. For No 1 peas, early, the growers wanted $85 per ton and ?S0 for the same grade of pcao of the later variety. For No. 2 rwjas, early, $70 was aslcod. while for the No 3 grade, early, $52 per ton was asked. A flat rate of ?45 per ton for early peas was asked by the growers and ?65 for the lale peas. This was accepted by the canners' committee, which rejected tbe graded contracts. It was finally deeided between the two committees that the flat rate scaio would bo the one used in tho 1920 j contracts. 00 |
