Show WEST WARREN IS 10 PUMP WATER FROM Bill Through the appropriation of 2500 acre feet lrom Weber river, to be used t'uring the season from June 1 to Sem-tember Sem-tember 30, the reclamation of 1816 acres of land In the West Warren district dis-trict of Weber county is planned by farmers in that section The water right filing was made yesterday by P. The plan Is one that has been con- ' dercd by land owners in the West Warren district for a number ol i in b and contemplates the building of a pumping plant in the vicinity of the Southern Pacific bridge over the Weber rivr A pipe eighteen inches in diameter is to be used in Connection Connec-tion with a pump, and ditches 1 3,'Jn feet in length will be constructed The building of a removable dam, x or seven feet in height, is planned. The dam would be placed just before the spring flood season had ended, and thereby accumulating water that runs 'into the Great Salt Lake. The dam would be removed in the fall following ! the irrigation season. By this arrangement it is believed 'that a reservoir seventy acres in extent ex-tent can bo made in the bed of the liver, and thus provide plenty of water lor the land It is estimated that even during dry weather, 10 second feet of water U wasted at that point, this '. rgely being seepage and return flow from other canals further up the stream |
