Show II REDMOND'S DEATH IS I IRELAND'S LOSS. With the death of John Redmond, Ireland has suffered an almost irreparable irre-parable loss. As parliamentary leader of the Irish party, he was respected by tho statesmen of Great Britain, and eventually, regardless of what the Sinn Feiners might do to embitter tho English, Redmond wouhl have been able to demand more for Ireland than any other Irishman. Redmond stood loyally by England from the firing of the first shot in the war. His brothor gavo up his life in defense of the cause of tho allies. In every public utterance and private act, John Redmond labored to strengthen the forces of Great Britain in tho fight against the Gormans. At the end I of the war, he would have had a call on Great Britain which could not have been ignored in the final settlement of the Irish question. |
