Show EUGENE G. Fll, FIRST I OGDEN BOY WOUNDED I - IN E11E v. I The first Ogden man with the American -expeditionary forces in IH France to be wounded is Corporal Eugene G. Farr of Battery F, Fifth field artillery, according to a letter received from Corporal Farr by his jH mother, Mrs. Jos. Farr, 3011 Wash- IH lngton avenue. In his letter, dated 'H January 11, Corporal Farr writes, in "I am In the hospital with a gunshot wound in my right leg a compound , fracture, between the knee and thigh. I have been heTe twenty-three days today and am getting along fine. We s have the best of doctors and nurses from the Johns Hopkins university of , Baltimore." In his letter. Corporal Farr ex- IH presses his thanks, for lettors and gifts i received from friends and relatives at t home. Corporal Farr was born and jH reared in Ogden and lived here prac- tically all his life. He enlisted last 1 May. j fM oo J IH |
