Show STREAM OF LIQUOR IS : DIRECTED INTO TRE ; SEWER I Fifty-six pints of whiskey, vermouth ' and wino, and about eight quarts of ' beer, were poured in tho sewer today by Sheriff Peterson, Deputy Sheriff R. H. Soule and Deputy Sheriff Julius Geiger at the county Jail, while an interested in-terested group of spectators, including newspapermen, trusties, deputies and others attracted by tho smell, for it carried most half a block looked on in mournful silence. The liquor was the supply confiscated confiscat-ed at the rooming house of Joseph Lu-clrlca Lu-clrlca on Wall avenue on December 4 when the place was raided by the sheriff sher-iff and deputies. It is the first bootleg whiskey officialy destroyed by the county. The big supply of contraband taken from Laucirica, nearly 600 gallons, gal-lons, will probably be destroyed within with-in a- fow days. The sheriff Is waiting for a decision on the ownership of this supply. |
