Show Uy Bill SCHOOL OBSERVES LI10LIS em Ono of tho most enthusiastic audiences audi-ences of about two hundred parents and teachers witnessed an exceedingly interesting and pleasing program yesterday yes-terday afternoon at the Washington school. About four hundred pupils took part in the program, as each room contributed "Its bit" toward making tho exercises such a splendid success. A chorus of over two hundred hun-dred children's voices opened the program pro-gram with the thrilling and inspiring songs, "America," and tho "Star-Spangled "Star-Spangled Banner," which were indeed a keynote to the entire exercises. Tho readings of the Sixth B and Fourth B grades wero extremely well given and caused a deep patriotic thrill. A charming minuet, given by tho Third B grade, in bright colonial costumes, cos-tumes, was greatly appreciated, and received much applause. The low Second grade gave a splendid splen-did llttlo ploco of work in dramatization, dramatiza-tion, which certainly proved that they wero very clever actors. Many patriotic readings, recitations and songs were given by the different grades, all of them being very appropriate appro-priate and well rendered. Last but not least came a beautiful little flag salute by tho beginners, who have been in school but a fow days. |
