OCR Text THEY FAIL TO WEAR MASKS ID ARE FINED S5 There was a non-mask parade at the municipal court this morning, made up of clerks and waitresses who had been caught in the act of not wearing their masks while waiting upon customers. Their names were Miss Goodnuff, Miss Bnrtlett, Miss Read, Mrs. Herring, Miss Brown, Miss Jackson; Mr. Morris and Frank Lowdner. j All the defendants, except Miss! Jackson, pleaded guilty and were fined i $5. Miss Jackson was able to prove that she had not either wilfully or negligently negli-gently disobey the order and her case was dismissed. Judge Roberts again took advantage of the opportunity to speak clearlv j and at length on the spirit of the order, or-der, and the aim It is meant to achieve during these days of spidemic disease. None of the defendants had ever appeared in court before and regarded their appearance In no verv serious fashion. There has not been an arrest made by any member of the police force, except in one case. oo
