FOREST WORK Improvements in forest work, including in-cluding an increase in the number of forest guards as well as earlier organization or-ganization each fire session, are to be provided for the United States, according ac-cording to a report received here Friday Fri-day from tho secretary of agriculture. An unusually dry season last year made it a difficult task to cope with fire situation in national forests and relief was furnished to the amount of $1,000,0000 out of the president's emergency fund. A deficiency appropriation appro-priation of 5750.000 may be sought again this year for tho same purpose.
