Show uu MRS, HARRIET BERRY HAS LEFT IE - HOSPITAL Mrs. Harriet Berry, who was wounded wound-ed by a bullet fired by Frank Berry, her divorced husband, Saturday nighf, December 1, has been dismissed from the hospital. Her condition has improved im-proved more rapidly than the attending attend-ing physicians had hoped at the time pf the shooting. Mrs. Berry, who was subpoenaed last Saturday a few hours before she was dismissed from the hospital, will appear as a witness for the state at Berry's peliminary examination Thurs-day Thurs-day morning before Judge George S. Barker of the municipal court. She has threatened to refuse to answer questions. The authorities, as a result, re-sult, have threatened to insist that the court clto her for contempt in event she carries out her defi. She. has positively declined to prosecute her attempted slayer. Berry remains in the city jail. It is probable, however, he will bo able to obtain bond, which was fixed at $5000, within the next few days.
