Show MAIL CARRIERS ARE TOSELLTHRIFT STAMPS Postmaster W. W. Browning has instructed in-structed mail carriers to sell thrift stamps and war certificates to all persons per-sons who may desire to buy. "They not only are expected to make the sales," said the postmaster, "but they are to do such canvassing as may be possible without intcrferring with their delivery work. These thrift stamps and war certificates must be brought to the attention of the public. It is a good individual investment and besides it will materially assist the government in more quickly defeating the kaiser." To" date, sales at the Ogden postof-fico postof-fico have not met expectations. It Is probable that this city Is purchasing a smaller number of the stamps and certificates cer-tificates than any community of similar simi-lar size in the United States. Postmaster Post-master Browning explains this on the theory that the wage earners and school children have neglected to inform in-form themselves upon the merits of the investment. |
