Show OHM TO I! HUMES ONE I . SOLDIERS ; "Work, Watch. " Wait!" was tho motto selected yesterday by the wives, 1 mothers and relatives of soldier boys 1 who met at the city hall for the bi- ! weekly meeting. No name has yet , been selected for this organization but 1 the members wcro urged to think of a, good title and suggest it at the next meeting. The session yesterday was in charge of Mrs. Lilliebell Falck as chairman and Mrs. J. U. Eldredge, Jr., as secretary. sec-retary. One of the principal questions ques-tions considered was the support of the benefit show which will be given tomorrow and Wednesday nights in the Orphcum theater. The chairman of the show committee, D. N. Wheeler, met with the women and urged them to support the show. They enthusiastically enthu-siastically agreed to do this and many present took a series of tickets to scll.i The question of supplying correspondents corre-spondents to soldiers who have no relatives was also considered. The women decided that they would do their bit in this respect and keep some boy without friends to write him as happy as possible by fulfilling the office themselves. A letter from Mrs. J. Ray Ward, wife of Captain J. Ray Ward, was read to the assemblage The organization decided also to A keep watch for any case of suffering where the bread winner of a family , has gone to war and to aid in these cases as much as possible. The worn- I fl en also adopted a service flag to be B placed in each home. The members I will also wear a small badge to show j their affiliation. It will be a knot of pink ribbon in the buttonhole. |
