Elmer, 168 Twenty-third street, have received word from San Diego froni their daughter, Vela, that she was married on Saturday last to Elmer Garr, a member of Battery B and formerly of Ogden. DAY NURSERY PREPARING TO MOVE. The Martha society, easily one of the most thorough organized and effective ef-fective charitable associations in the northwest. Is preparing to move to its new $10,000 home on North Washington. Wash-ington. The society probably will va. cate the old Lorin Farr home December Decem-ber 20. The Martha society was founded ten years ago for the purpose of taking HMR care of motherless children. CLUBS ASKED TO MAKE CADNY. There is a call from the Rod Cross for any of the social clubs that meet this evening to plan to make candy if possible as the Christmas packets must be shipped Tuesday night and there is a need for much more candy than has been promised. Any hard candy that can be shipped Is desired. Bring it to the ground floor of the Berthana building Tuesday as early as possible. PRESBYTERIAN LADIES' AID The Ladies' Aid Society of the First , Prebyterian church will hold the regular reg-ular monthly social, business meeting J and luncheon in the church Tuesday ! afternoon. Luncheon will be served ( at 1 o'clock, after which the regular business meeting and social will fol , low. There will be the usual Red Cross work ready for the women who attend. MEET ON TUESDAY A meeting of the Women's Auxiliary Auxil-iary of the Episcopal Church will be held tomorrow afternoon at 2:30 o'clock at the home of Mrs. C. H. Maison, 2570 Grammercy avenue. Mrs. Reiso of the educational section is expected from Salt Lake and will speak on "(Missions." All interested are invited to be present. METHODIST MISSIONARY SOCIETY The Missionary Society of the Methodist church will meet Wodnes day, December 12, at 2:30 o'clock, at the home of Mrs. Homer Seip, 2304 Jackson avenue. A splendid program has been arranged, a feature of which will be a vocal solo by Mrs. Fred M. Hess. |
