Show EFFICIENT TRAPS I i For both rats and mice the common gulllotin or "choke" trap with a woolen I base and wooden bait pan is better ; than those having metal bases and l pans. These traps should be set with a light trigger. Oatmeal is usually the most effective bait. A few grains of it should lie on the trigger pan and aj few more be scattered near the trap, j A change of bait is advisable from time to time. Pumpkin or Bunflower seeds, corn-meal, corn-meal, bits of fish or toasted cheese may be used. Remember, baits will not be! attractive whilo food is accessible, therefore remove supplies that are being damaged and. as far as possible,, kppp them in rat-proof containers. |
