Show WINTER FLOWERS Rooms may be made very bright and pleasing in winter with tastefully arranged ar-ranged vases of everlasting flowers. They may be used alone or in assocla- j tion with dried grasses. On the Euro- j pean continent greater use is made of j them than in this country. The French grow them commercially in quality for making wreaths and bouquets. Among the haray perennial everlastings everlast-ings are: Sea lavender, or statice, pearly everlasting, chalk plant, sea holly and globe thistle. Sea lavender Is one of the most important. Some kinds are perennial, others are annual, an-nual, while others may be treated as biennials The perennial sorts are suitable for the front of the herbaceous or mixed border and the rockery. |
